Munich Creative Business WeekFrom February 7 - 12, 2012, the first edition of Munich Creative Business Week will take place at various locations through the city. We are organising two events during this week. It would be our pleasure to see you in our showroom at Kaiserstrasse 47.
We plan to show the installation ablaze in Munich. It was created by Ingo Maurer and Axel Schmid for the project Mutant Architecture, organized by Interni Magazine during the Salone del Mobile 2011, with the sponsorship of ENEL. Ablaze was also recently exhibited at the Moscow Design Week.
Design talks: Deyan Sudjic and Moritz Waldemeyer
On Friday, February 10, 2012, Deyan Sudjic, director of the Design Museum London, and the engineer and designer Moritz Waldemeyer will present talks about their work and design at our Munich showroom. We are also planning to exhibit some of Moritz Waldemeyer's LED objects.
Deyan Sudjic has been an editor of the design and architecture magazines Blueprint and Domus, and is teaching at Universities in the UK and Austria. His essay "The other face of German design" was included in the catalogue of Vitra Design Museum "Ingo Maurer: Light - Reaching for the Moon", published in 2004.
Moritz Waldemeyer, born in Germany, has received his master's degree in Engineering in the UK. He is a specialist in interactive LED applications and has collaborated with designers and architects such as Ron Arad and Zaha Hadid. Recently, he has built renown as an independent designer and created commisions works for concerts of U2 und Kylie Minogue, and others.

Chico and Rita
On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Ingo Maurer proudly presents the animated movie Chico and Rita by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal. The movie tells the story of the two Cuban musicians united by romantic desire and their music.
Javier Mariscal, a long-time friend of Ingo Maurer, lives and works in Barcelona. His work spans a wide range of mediums, from graphic art, sculpture to interior design and landscaping. Regrettably he will not be able to attend the presentation during MCBW, but will introduce the movie in form of a short documentary. We will update you soon about the location and time.

Munich Showroom Holiday Opening Hours
Our Munich showroom will be open from December 27 - 30, 2011 and from January 3 - 5, 2012. On December 24 and 31, January 6 - 8, the showroom in Munich will remain closed.
The styrofoam living room installation, which we first displayed in September 2011, will remain at the showroom until early February.
